Beate Grandahl Ervum (born 1962)
Beate Grandahl Ervum was active in both Trondheim’s queer community and the feminist organization Kvinnefronten during the 1990s.
When public debate around pornography peaked in the late 1980s, she found herself caught between what she experienced as two opposing fronts. Her response was Fitteteatret—a humorous and sexy puppet show that premiered at the nightclub Remis in 1989.
Following the success of the performance, Ervum helped develop a course titled Lesbian Diversity, organized by the Norwegian Health Advisory Service for Homosexuals (Helseutvalget for homofile).
Skeivt arkiv met with Ervum in the autumn of 2016.
