Sylvi Sæther (born 1948)

She might have been the first to bring her mother to Venstres Hus.

Fallas Kro in Oslo was Sylvi Sæther’s first encounter with the gay community in the city. That was back in 1970.
Five years later, she met Anbjørg Ohnstad, and in 1989, the two appeared together in one of the first NRK programs to focus on homosexuality.
Both Sylvi and Anbjørg were involved in founding the Working Group for Gay Liberation in 1976.
Queer Archives interviewed Sylvi Sæther in the summer of 2016, where she spoke, among other things, about the early years at Fallas Kro and Venstres Hus.
